About KOI
- 1946
- The Head sport organization created as Persatuan Olahraga Republik Indonesia (PORI) at Solo chief by Widodo Sosrodiningrat.
- 1947
- Sport Organization created as Komite Olympiade Republik Indonesia (KORI) chief by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX.
- KORI became as a Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (KOI).
- 1951
- 1952
- 1959
- Government created Dewan Asian Games Indonesia (DAGI) in purpose of preparing for Asian Games IV 1962, KOI as a supported board DAGI for international relations.
- 1961
- Government created Komite Gerakan Olahraga (KOGOR) preparing for establishing Indonesia national committee, head sport organization as a organizer for technical operational.
- 1962
- Government created Departemen Olahraga (Depora) within ministry Maladi.
- 1964
- Government created Dewan Olahraga Republik Indonesia (DORI), all KOGOR organizations, KOI, head sport organization merged into DORI.
- 1965
- Joined Secretary within head sport organizations was established on December 25, proposed to change DORI became Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) which is independent organization and free of political interference.
- 1966
- President Soekarno isssued President Declaration no 143 A and 156 A in 1966 (Keputusan Presiden Nomor 143 A dan 156 A Tahun 1966) regarded to KONI formation as a formed DORI, could not be operated since there was not sport organizations which is related to political issues at the time.
- President Soeharto dispersed Depora and created Directorate General of Sport under the Education and Culture Ministry.
- Main sport organizations created KONI on Desember of 31 chief by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX.
- KOI was chief by Sri Paku Alam VIII.
- 1967
- Presiden Soeharto inaugurated KONI within Presidents Declaration no 57 in 1967 (Keputusan Presiden Nomor 57 Tahun 19670.
- Sri Paku Alam VIII retired from the Chief of KOI. Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX became chief of KOI and KONI, within Secretary General of KONI is M.F. Siregar and Secretary General of KOI is Soeworo.
- Soeworo passed away, M.F. Sirega also became Secretary General of KOI. Since then AD/ART KONI which is agreed in the Musyawarah Olahraga Nasional (Musornas). IOC acknowledged KONI as a NOC Indonesia.
- 2005
- Government and DPR published UU no 3 in 2005 (Undang-Undang Nomor 3 Tahun 2005) regard to System of National Sport and divided KONI became KON and KOI.
- 2007
- Government published Government Regulation no 16, 17 and 18 in 2007 (Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 16, 17, dan 18 tahun 2007) as a regulation enforcement UU no 3 in 2005 (UU No. 3 Tahun 2005).
- KONI enforced Musornas Luar Biasa (Musornaslub) on Juli 30 which is created Komite Olimpiade Indonesia (KOI) and gave over function as NOC Indonesia from KONI to KOI. But KONI was defended and was not changed became KON. .
